What is self-adhesive label paper?
The self-adhesive label paper is composed of three parts: surface material, adhesive, and backing paper. It can be specifically matched or customized according to specific usage requirements. The face material, classified by material, includes coated paper (art paper), PET, PVC, etc., with adhesive applied to the back of the face material. The adhesive comes in two types based on adhesion strength: permanent (strongly adhesive) and removable (weakly adhesive). The backing paper, which is a repositionable type, includes ordinary backing paper and glassine backing paper, with a silicone oil coating on its surface that acts as a barrier to the adhesive.
Based on the surface material, it is divided into paper-based and film-based categories:
1. Paper-based materials include: coated paper, glass card paper, holographic paper, kraft paper, fluorescent paper, gold-plated paper, aluminum foil paper, fragile (anti-counterfeiting) paper, silver-plated paper, masking tape paper, fabric label (Teflon/nylon) paper, pearlized paper, laminated coated paper, and variable information paper.
2. Film-based materials include: transparent PET, semi-transparent PET, transparent OPP, semi-transparent OPP, transparent PVC, glossy white PVC, matte white PVC, synthetic paper, glossy gold (silver) polyester, and matte gold (silver) polyester.
Based on the performance of the adhesive, it can be divided into two major categories: permanent adhesive and removable adhesive. According to usage requirements, it can also be further classified into general adhesion, enhanced adhesion, strong adhesion, and special adhesion.
Based on the backing paper, it includes: white glassine backing paper, blue glassine backing paper, yellow glassine paper, kraft paper, polyester (PET), etc.
